The resurrection/restoration of a 1985 K100 RS. The bike was sitting for at least 5 years. My original idea was to repaint the bike Phoenix red like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. I've given myself a year for the complete restoration.

The replacement Fuel Pump... $50
By reading many posts and online forums I found a replacement fuel pump was available for about $50, yeah! I ordered one. The one problem is that the replacement doesn't fit inside the vibration isolator, which is really OK because mine turned to paste, it truly doesn't exist. So I need a replacement I've been looking for something to take it's place and have considered putting boat fuel fill hose. The problem is that this too may melt from the ethanol gas mix. There is a company selling a foam insert that will take up some space between the retaining ring isolator and the pump but it doesn't take the place of the isolator.
